The story

The Befly brand was born from a common passion and an exotic love, born in the Caribbean in 2011.

Francesca Zappia, a former gymnast and curious about everything new and adrenaline-filled, tries the flying trapeze for the first time on a beach in the Dominican Republic, where the manager of this discipline is Oneil Simpson, Jamaican by birth and citizen of the world. The two know each other like this, almost by chance, but the meeting is karmic and indelibly marks their destinies.

Francesca thus began studying aerial disciplines in Italy and met Oneil again on the white beaches of Yucatan, Mexico. Here the two fall in love and Francesca learns the fundamentals of the flying trapeze.

The trapeze is the best expression of the acrobatics of artistic gymnastics, the historical legacy of his family, and the gracefulness of dance, together with the eternal human desire to fly.

Thus began a series of meetings around the world between the two until 2013 when Oneil came to Italy for the first time. Here he began teaching and performing throughout the peninsula, but the lack of a flying trapeze school gave rise to the idea of ​​starting one. The two cultivate this dream and the project materializes with the foundation of the Befly sports association and the opening of the first flying trapeze school in Italy in 2015.

The passion and harmony that the couple has in their work is felt by all those who watch their shows and begin a training journey with Befly, where strong bonds are created and where everyone feels like they are in a second family.
